All New Honda Fit Hybrid Coming Sooner than Expected

2010 Honda Fit Hybrid The hugely popular Honda Fit will become even more fuel-efficient soon! Price Honda is pleased to announce that Honda is all set to release a hybrid-electric version of the Fit, to hit American showroom floors by the fall of 2010.

A five-door, five-passenger hatchback, the all new Fit Hybrid would sport an exterior look similar to that of the FCX Clarity and would be available at an affordable price, according to Honda, a year and a half ahead of schedule. A new 1-liter-class engine is being developed for the new Fit Hybrid, and reports indicate that it would be sold for a considerably low price. The new Fit Hybrid, expected to take the formidable Toyota Prius head on, would presumably deliver a better fuel economy thanks to its lighter and more powerful batteries than the current nickel-metal hydride variety.

Meanwhile, the gas-powered Fit, equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, has already earned the reputation of being one of the more fuel-efficient vehicles on US roads with an EPA data showing 27 mpg in city driving and 33 mpg on the highway. Honda projects to sell 100,000 Fit Hybrids in North American market.

The new advancements in technology and production systems would significantly reduce the Fit Hybrid's cost, which would make hybrid technology ''available to one and all at affordable prices,'' the automaker says. Without a doubt, the Honda lineup will be even more ''fit''with the addition of this new hybrid. Visit Price Honda for details on the new Fit Hybrid.
